Releases

Inspect the published release record before you install.

This page is the trust surface for the direct-download release. It publishes the same release record that powers the download button, so you can inspect the version, build, minimum macOS requirement, publish date, checksum, and release notes before you open the installer.

Why this page exists

Direct download needs visible release proof.

ActualFocus is a direct Mac download today. That means the release record needs to be easy to inspect instead of hidden behind a button or implied by copy alone.

  • The current version, build, minimum macOS requirement, publish date, and checksum come from the same published release record as the download button.
  • Each direct-download build is Apple-notarized before publication so Gatekeeper can verify it on first open.
  • The static release snapshot stays readable without JavaScript.
  • The manifest JSON stays available for exact machine-readable release values.
  • The ZIP fallback remains available alongside the primary installer when the release contract publishes one.

Loading the published release record for this installer.

This card uses the same published release record as the download button. Before you open anything, you can inspect the version, build, minimum macOS requirement, publish time, checksum, and release notes.

Each published build is Apple-notarized before release, so macOS can verify it the first time you open the installer.

If this card does not load, open the release snapshot or manifest JSON. Both are published alongside the current installer.

How to verify

Check the build like a skeptical Mac user.

  • Check the version, build, and minimum macOS version before you open anything.
  • Use the published SHA-256 checksum to verify the installer you downloaded.
  • Open the release snapshot if you want a static human-readable record.
  • Open the manifest JSON if you want the raw published fields used by the site.
  • If a direct-download release changes, the published record changes with it instead of silently replacing the trust details.

What comes next

This is the current release record, not the final release surface.

The immediate job is to make the live release inspectable. A broader historical release index can layer on later, but the current published release should already be verifiable now.

If you want the broader trust picture as well, use Updates for recent shipped changes and current status, FAQ for setup and privacy context, and Support for the official contact path.
