Support

Support for ActualFocus.

If you need help with ActualFocus, this is the official support page for the current direct-download build. If the Mac App Store path goes live later, the same support inbox can cover that distribution path too.

Permissions and setup

Help understanding Accessibility, camera tracking, notifications, and optional Safari or Chrome setup.

Session behavior

Privacy and exports

01

What to include in a support request

The fastest way to get an answer is to make the problem reproducible without sending unnecessary personal data.

  • Whether you are using the current direct-download build, and later the App Store build if that path goes live
  • Your ActualFocus version and your macOS version
  • What you expected to happen and what happened instead
  • Steps to reproduce the issue and any screenshots with sensitive data removed
02

Keep support messages privacy-first

ActualFocus is built around local-first boundaries, and support should follow the same rule: only share what is necessary to explain the issue.

  • Do not send raw camera captures or screenshots that include sensitive personal information.
  • Remove private window titles, personal data, and unrelated tabs before sharing screenshots.
  • If your question is about data boundaries, mention Privacy in the subject line and start with the privacy page below.
